Question about horizontal dropouts problem

I've got horizontal dropouts (open like singlespeed/fixed/track ones) on my frame and I use QR skewers - when I'm powering up a hill I keep pulling the wheel out of line so it rubs on one of the chainstays.

How can I get around this? I thought about using allen key skewers. Don't really want to go down the route of solid axles.

Are there aftermarket slot dropouts or similar? Are they frame specific? Would chaintugs work?

chain tugs? but get proper mtb ones, as proper bmx ones dont work very well with qr skewers. and the allen key 'slow' release skewers dont do up any tighter than a qr, certainly not as tight as a shimano qr.

Supports the end of a qr axle and most importantly has an open ended tug so you don't need to touch the nut when taking the wheel out ; just undo your qr or whatever and pull the tensioner away from the dropout letting the wheel slide forward so you can unloop the chain off the sprocket .

Dmr even do one with a mech hanger if your that way inclined .

oh and you might want to check the oln is correct and the dropouts parallel , If not the wheel might not be being held as tight as it should .

good quality mtb chaintugs that if poss fit in the slot of the drop out aswel and then the shimano qr for sure as has been said, seem to remember that in most magazine tests that shimano tend to come out on top because of grip.

would one of these do then from charliethebikemonger?

I've got one of those knocking about somewhere , the ends are pretty crap as the hole is too large for the shaft so it never sits right plus its closed on both sides so when you want the wheel out you need to undo the thing to move the wheel forward kinda negating the point of having a tug if you have to adjust it every time .

Look at the little tug bit at the nut end , the dmr is flat but the other one closes around the dropout making it a faff to get off .
