KONA KU Hand Built in Chico, Ca 20" USA

That's the first 1995 Ku I have seen. I think it's a size 19.

I'm interested to see that it was built in Chico. My understanding is that Altitude Cycles was formed in Chico in 1996, as Jeff Lindsay sought to keep part of the Mountain Goat operation going after it closed in 1995. Whether the welders were former Mountain Goat welders I don't know, but it seems logical.

I could never work out who built the 1995 Ku. It is listed in Bikepedia (with the same kit as this bike) http://www.bikepedia.com/QuickBike/Bike ... &Type=bike and it should have been available from late 1994/early 1995. You would think it was built by Tom Teesdale, as he built the 1995 Kona Hots, but I don't think Tom worked with aluminium. But on the other hand, it seemed too early for it to have been built by Jeff Lindsay.

If anyone can confirm or deny that 1995 Kus were made in Chico, I'd be interested to know.
