It doesn't fit...non-suspension frame?

Mmmm...nearly finished this. Obviously havn't ridden it yet but it feels very strange.
I guess this 94 doesn't have suspension adjusted geometry...the forks are tiny.
I have way too much weight over the front and still feel cramped even with the 130mmish stem.
The top tube isn't particularly short or anything. Not sure why it feels so cramped.
Maybe I am just used to the generous and modern Kish geometry.
Whatcha reckon fellas...I want to keep this but I do have a gold nitranium stumpjumper frame which is bigger if this goes pear shaped.
Cheers
Carl
ps The stem was going to be changed for a shorter one (based on measurements) but now I'm not sure.

looks the same as m y 1993 - iirc you rode an 18in kona... that's what i ride and i found my stumpy too cramped

Inline post? Even though its not much difference size wise, an inline post will change the position on the bike quite a bit.

Yup....18" Kona would be about right....but the top tube on this isn't that short, thats what I don't understand. :?

i found exactly the same to be true, but it just didnt *feel* right

a 150mm stem made the length feel OK, but it steered like a bus, so i sold it

If you fit original kit then may be it will ride as sweet as any Spesh

It does look short if ya look at thet pedal to front tyre gap.

What length is the top tube on these? I have got a Saracen Kili I was gonna build as a summer street/winter blaster retro, the TT is only 20.5" (BMX territory) long which is about 2" shorter than usual. even my play bike is longer in the top tube. I'm curious to build it just to see how it performs.

Do you mean get a layback?

Not necessarily a layback more regular, I would say you have an inline post wheras I would say this one is more regular
