GT Zaskar LE 1995 18"

Hi all,
two weeks ago I purchased this Zaskar LE 1995 from Ebay for 205 Euro, that's about £177.

It's an 18" frame with serial 03951681.
When it arrived it already looked nice but I gave it a good extra 2 hour polish.
It has two small dents on the toptube and normal scratches on the chainstay.
This is the result so far.
I will post new picture's when there are updates.

Looks like you got a goodun there. Whats the plan for it? Full period built or something to be built and abused :P
 
I will start to mount all the parts that I have on my old 90's bike.
LX cranks, front derailleur and V-brakes.
Sram 7.0 back derailleur
Rigida CSB (DP18 I think?) wheels
Rock Shox Psylo SL
RooX stem and riser bar
Selle Italia Flite seat
Control Tech seatpost

My goal is not built a 100% '95 catolog bike...start with what I have now.
HS33's later on will be nice....
 
Yes Ian, heard about Gil_m but I already have some repro black/yellow 'all terra' decals from Ebay....see what they look like on the Zaskar tomorrow.

looking good irvin, they sure polish up nicely. i look forward to seeing your build progress mate.
 
Some progress on the bike!
Added the decals which came out nice in my opinion!
This weekend I will take apart my old bike and start build the Zaskar..
