I am no bearing expert but as far as I understand. 6001 is the bearing size reference and bs / rs is the type of seal. On my pulstar hubs to remove them I tapped the end of the axle with a hammer - this will push the bearing on the opposite side out. Then repeat for the other side. To replace them in the hub a socket set comes in handy to use as various sized drifts to push the bearings back in.

also skf and nsk bearings have come up, both of which im familiar with from my skateboarding days, any one have any thoughts on the best brand or bearing to get? both nsk and skf are cheaper than the ntn ones?

got a cpl of NSK on the way, Brand loyalty and familiarity and all that, they were supposed to be very good for skateboards BITD 8) 8)
