Picked this "red hot" beaut up yesterday. Intended for my sister who's looking to pick up her first real bike. But she's being very picky and to her this is only a temporary. Basically I had to do all the leg work with the seller including picking it up. If my sister does get another bike, I'm definitely taking this back from her.

Surprisingly light 26lbs 6oz bike even though it is a mid-low entry bike from what I can gather from the components and from bikepedia. Thought like Rocky's, the frame would be made in Canada, but it says "Made in Taiwan" :(

I like the little touches of Kona branding on misc parts… tires, seat collar, brakes levers, chainstay protector, etc... Most of the parts seem to be stock from new. Only thing considering changing is the saddle, which has a hole punctures in it, and the chain which works but looks a bit rusty.

sure it's nothing really to brag about, and yes it's a "no frills" kind of bike. but having picked it up, to me it's very nice looking and gives me a warm fuzzy feeling. something definitely not to be ashamed of roaming around town on.

wow, it IS small.

i was told it was a 14", but i thought perhaps that was BB centre to TT centre. but in fact it's 14.5" from BB centre to the top of the collar on the seat tube. centre to centre is about 12"

so my sis came by this w/e to look at the bike. still not her perfect bike, but she at least agreed it looked better in person than in pictures. sad to let this go, but the missus has her bike, and just doesn't fit me, try as i might! as seen in the pics, i put on a spare saddle i had lying around to take it for a better test spin, and even with the post raised to the max, it was still too small!!!
