Finally managed to get some pictures organised for this beauty

I bought this from Stanny on here. Some of you will know of his passion for all thing Saracen, and particularly mid eighties Conquests.

This "City Bike" benefits from the same 531 frame as the Conquest, but rebadged as Sacaren High Tech tubing 8)

Anyway as it turned out red isn't Stanny's thing so he moved it on, so I duely hovered it up!

Here are some of the pictures from the begining...including the original purchase receipt from June 1985!

That stem! Surely its too high?

So pretty intact, but as Coomber notes - boy that stems a bit of a high riser!

Its been cut and had an extension piece welded in - wowser :shock:

So time for a strip and clean and joy of joys - turns out this bike is a shimano free zone 8)

okay, with stem in hand it was time to get to grips with this bad boy.

Lets go wild, 15 speed it, off with the guards and rack, swap out that stem....

here we go

So thats it. Here are my bike of the month pictures, in Julys MF V Saracen v Orange epic

At least three of you liked it :D

Personally, I thought the street sign was genius, but nobody else seem to find it exciting

Maybe it's just me :?

Will try and get some better finished pictures taken tomorrow so you can see her in her full glory

very nice - the pun picture was good but the daytime ones above show her in true colours 8)
