Orange Vit-t with disc conversion?

A bit of a shame really as you don't often see them in this size for some reason. I would've been interested were it unmolested

I'm surprised it's 1 1/8, I didn't know that. All other Oranges were 1" right up to 1997.

It's also the only Vit I've seen that has no braze-on seat clamp, although I suppose they may have hacked that off too. Why would you do that though?

Seller came back with this :

The frame came as a warranty replacement direct from Orange without a welded seat clamp - he has an orange seat collar to sell with it.

Frame number is A3061061 which looks correct for an Orange afaik (its certainly similar to my prestige's.

My old 1993 Vit T had a 1 1/8th headset although Ed (Orange71), who I got it from, said he'd been told it was a one off they'd done by accident. :?

Decals look all wrong for a Vit but I guess he could have had some others made up when the work was done?

Just to muddy the waters - My Vit T also has an 1 1/8 head tube and it has no welded seat clamp ... because it sheared off on a ride in the lake district in about 1995 and I had to finish the rest of the ride standing up.

This was mine.
