Cheap-ish / Hack bike, located in County Durham

My wife's family are in County Durham and after several visits when I've wished I'd had a bike for a spare hour or two I've decided to keep a hack / cheapish MTB up there for the occasional ride on the times when we're there for just a weekend and it's not worth taking my bike with me.

Budget depends to some extent on what's available really. Ideally up to £100ish but if there's better value to be had up to £150 or so I could consider it. Retro or modern is fine - though I guess it's a good opportunity to reassert my retro roots I can cope with parts here and there that need replacing or fixing. I'm about 6 foot so frame size somewhere between 17-20"... anything considered if it's in the right area (ideally not a million miles away from Durham/Consett areas), decent value and available to take a peek at this weekend (22nd-23rd March).

Do you go via the A1 through Cambs? If so you pass within a nats crochet of my house and I usually have a something or other available.

Thanks for the offer but unfortunately on the journeys up and back the car is nowadays just too full of stuff (prams, carseats, spouse) to get a dismantled bike in, which is one of the main reasons I want to keep one up there, as there's no space for mine any more!

Can post my 93 DB Ascent up to an address there. Fully working bike, I did want £110 posted, but I'll take £100 It's in good condition, almost fully factory spec.
