My new mystery Holdsworth

Hi all, first post and looking for help to identify my newly acquired Holdsworth please.

Badly painted but felt it was worth a punt!

The frame number is 34013 with no braze-on fittings except gear cable guide on drive side stay. The forks are the sloping Italian style. The rear stays are 5/8" just below the seat lug and have a narrow wrap over the top of the lug. The rear brake bridge is straight brazed straight to the rear stays. The head tube badge is aluminium, riveted but with repaint can be sure if original.

Under the paint I have found chrome on the rear chain and seat stays to just over 10". The forks appear to be fully chromed.

The bike is fitted with 170mm Campagnolo Strada chain set with Nuevo Record mechs. The brakes are Universal Extras with open back levers the Brev number is 453949 (late model 51's?). The wheels have high flange Campagnolo Record with Red Lable Cerchio Fiamme rims for tubs.

Looks to me like an early Factory Pro. Very nice acquisition!

Dave Scrimshaw's serial research and prediction places 34013 as a 1970 factory build. (The first year for the factory production of the Pro.)

At time there was a bit of an issue with the Putney shop continuing to build Pros for the "Team". Checkout Kilgariff's history page of Professional model.

See pic of 1970 catalog page pirated from Kilgariff site. Even describes 5/8" stays altho subsequent catalogs the next few years describe 9/16". Picture is that of a Mistral with Prugnat I lugs. Factory Pro had Italian style long spearpoint Prugnat S lugs and at that time a fully sloping crown as in description and as yours. Straight bridge was common to the factory Pro from beginning while Shop Pro models had a curved bridge and straight bridge didn't appear on other factory models until 1974ish. Lack of braze-ons was common to early Pros.
