The best bike name? And the meaning of Karakorum...

Inspired by this extract from 'Between the Woods and the Water' by Patrick Leigh Fermor I thought I'd ask the question. I always liked Karakorum, Whisky Town Racer also springs to mind.

Yup, mountain range spanning the borders of Pakistan, India & China.....wikipedia helps :)

Whiskey Town Racer is named after the Whiskey Town race.
 
The GT Back Woods strikes me more as a comedy name along with Kona's Kikapu (I'd rather not thanks)
 
If we're talking best comedy name the "Apollo Flatliner" is a clear winner for me. Makes me snigger every time I scroll past it on eBay......
 
I still dream of having something with "Fat Chance Yo Eddy" written on it in my garage. What a quality name for anything.

Always been slightly dubious of Cannondale's SM naming system - would you need to be into such things to endure a ride on one of them?

MBK's RockFighter sounds like a Gay porn star I suppose...
 
Ill have a look through this pile.theres a huge number of oddly named bikes so we should find something interesting
