Yo eddy component advice for build

Having recently moved and able to see the wood for the trees, I hope to finally get this built. Most parts are already decided:

Xc pro groupset
Black post, stem

The bits I'm struggling with are:

7 vs 8 speed xc pro (read md vs standard BCD crank)? Or should I go black cooks?

Forks too. I've some black segmented ti forks, judy fsx, judy sl or xc, or some tange straight blade/rigid forks (can't remember the name). I could also run carbon amp f3 xcs?

Finishing kit is also a dilemma. I had thought brown saddle/tyres and grips but have also toyed with a yellow saddle and Scott at4 bars with yellow grip tape, as this would tie in with the yellow frame decals and also the judy sls if I used them. Or I could go the traditional black route of course.

Frame is a metallic mid type blue. A bit turquoise, but not quite if that makes any sense?

Help me decide as I simply can't

Cheers

pics needed please.
What do you want pics of? Trying to avoid building it up in different guises if I can but will of course try to provide any pics that will help me/retrobike decide the first incarnation.

The forks should be the Yo rigid 8)
Probably right, though they aren't original fat city as you know, though they have had a proper respray. In Hindsight I could have left them plain ti as this might have gone well with the xc pro. Ho hum

I would go MicroDrive for the chainset. And the cassette would be whichever is the MicroDrive setup, be it the 7 or the 8. I'm guessing the 8.

Never been sure about that tbh. I believe the hubs at 7 speed but know little about the suntour range, just fancied something different to shimano and don't fancy the proshift style stuff for looks and cost reasons alone.

Anyone an xc pro expert who could aged some light on my options? I've a spare 8 speed hub that I bought in case I needed to switch the freehub, but I was probably erring on 7 speed unless I take the 8 speed shifters off another build (which is an option).

8 speed shifters do 7 speed in suntour world (thumbies anyway) iirc.
Go 8 speed if you can, it's the pinnacle of their range. the best of the best they had.
Run with a SRAM chain for some sort of lineage in blood, er oil ;)

Freehub and cassette go together, no mix and matching even between the types and number of cogs. Not sure if I put the body to rings instructions in the archive, but if not I can scan and do so.
