I had a nice Shimano Dura Ace headset lined up ready to be fitted to the frame, only to find out yesterday the headset cups have been glued in place :evil: .

Found out today how the sizing works for this frame. Apparently there is a small and a large frame and a small and a large beam. Mine appears to be a large frame and the beam is a small one. Put those two together and you end up with a frame that is too small for me by a couple of centimetres :cry: . I really need to figure these things out on future project, before I start sourcing parts.

so its too short for you ? or you cannot get the saddle high enough ? surely you can get a new alloy plate "seatpost" fabricated to your dimensions ?

I can not get the saddle high enough and as such it is probably also too short for me.

surely you can work out what you need (with cardboard?) and get a large one of these plates water jet cut (and the rear hole drilled and threaded)
