Just found out that the wrecked 2008 Floats I bought from eBay don't fit my 2002 Float stanchions I'm still looking for a donor pair of forks.

Out of interest, why didn't they fit? Worried my own plans won't work now.

Early Float stanchions have the same ID as F-Series but the later ones have a thicker wall, hence smaller ID. The piston from the 2008 model was too small for my 2002 lowers.

know im jumping on here but i might need a spring side to some fox rl 80 any idea ?

As long as the piston is the same diameter from the donor fork (presumably you have early Float or F Series?) it is my experience that you can swap them over. A piston from a 100mm fork can be reduced to 80mm using a spacer available from Mojo.
