The beautiful green bike is indeed mine, although I do like the Palagro. In a world of plastic tat and 'me too' engineering all being squeezed out of a far eastern mega factory, that bike is breath of fresh air... and a little bonkers! and lets face it don't we all like a bit of oddness in our lives?
I have known jm for twenty years, ever since I moved to Cornwall and he started working on my bikes in the LBS with Bunny Warren another long term Al's bike twiddler and friend. As jm works in a bike shop he has become a bike snob... he also buys parts and bikes at trade so can have all the high end exotica he wants. As for me I have to make do with all this old rubbish nobody wants.
ps jm does million mile audax rides over a weekend for fun... so please take anything he says with a little scepticism. As living on mars bars from all night garages and getting 12 minutes sleep in every 12 hours on a wet bench next to a busy A road junction has played with his mind over the years.
