The new rims I bought were 27 x 1 1/4 rims but anodized and hub spacings way too wide on the hubs for a classic lightweight Bob.

1960s:
Retail £2 a pair, a crate lot got an extra 10% discount, 33.3% plus 10% = 40%

25 pairs protected by a few bits of wood.
Les likely to get damage in transit. When buying those 8 ounce Scheeren rims from Ron Kitching I always tried to get them sent within a crate of rims.
