Viking ?

Been the proud owner of this Viking Pro? I haven’t seen another like it. No numbers on the frame. Nice cut out lugs . Believed as labelled 531c …lovely ride. I was told forks probably not original. Feels like a race bike should.
Any pointers as to this bikes history…..it is remarkably similar in geometry / lugs to a SBDU Rayleigh (see pic)
When Viking was moving to NI I believe a few specials were built by a number of good builders . (The SBDU Rayleigh is not mine I wish it was)

Colours of the viking are like those of the viking pro team of the late 70s ( or was it early 80s). I seem to remember postcards of Paul Carbutt getting the lejog record on one.
See if you can find images. Maybe it's a team bike

Very interesting bike, what makes you think that the fork is not original? Did you bring your Viking Pro to meet up at the old Rotrax Cycles shop in Shirley Southampton a few years back?

Hi - yes I was at the Rotrax event as a few pals own a Rotrax or three!

About the forks the person I purchased the bike from suggested they were not original.
