USB HDDs - All equal?

Re:

On my TV I connected a 64GB USB drive, the TV asked to format the drive which it did. The USB drive is now useless for anything else. Now have the luxury of a Sky+ HD box so no need to record to USB.

sometimes reformating kills the stick as it leaves it not knowing what it is. I have a few that think they are less than 1gb despite being 4gb.

We fried a 64gb stick on an XP system as the stick wasnt supported. It foobard the stick for good.

Don't use sticks for this, use a proper hard drive. The cost for the amount of storage you get is loads better.

A 1TB usb hard drive is about £50 and will see you out. That's what, 16 times capacity of a 64gb stick? For the sake of 30 quid difference you can be properly sorted forever.
