Undoing fused nipples

Whayebver they are, just crush them, use a screw driver on the end to take the rest out and use a bit of WD40 to clean up the end and fit new ones. Job done and no money wasted on cans and cans of other stuff.

Brass or ALU doesn't really matter. Happens on budget wheels quite as lot.

Also buy a proper 4 sided spoke key of the correct size. To many use a large key on small spokes destroying both key and spoke.

My Spokey tool is in its 20th year and still going strong.

3in1 left overnight is good for freeing up seized nipples plus I usually take the rim tape off and use a screwdriver.

Nipples... Rim tape...

Thanks for all the suggestions guys.
I should have added earlier that the nipples are brass and the spokes are black so I dont fancy putting a set of grips on them.
Think crushing the nipples is the best way to go. I'll give it a try later. Cheers
