I would like to bump this thread.
My friend is ill with a white blood cell disorder and was brought into intensive care late last night. He was given the MDS diagnosis 5 years ago and has had good fun telling everyone he's a dead man walking - which kind of sums up his sense of humour.
He's not dead yet though but will be really annoyed if he doesnt make it to his 70th early next year.
