Tom Bromwich tandem

Retro Newbie
Hello
I have unearthed my Tom Bromwich tandem, a gents at the front snd ladies at the rear. It’s about 35 years old, in absolutely original condition, done less than 50 miles! Tom was a tenant of ours; super man, so I knew him well in Coventry. Has surface rust on frame (Reynolds 531 I’m certain) wheels etc. but still looks smart! We want to sell…. Is it eBay or ?? And I can’t find a comparable ! Lots of tandems from £300 to £1500!! Any help or thoughts appreciated!

You need to zoom out a bit so we can see the whole bike :)

Hi Kind of you to ask appreciated!! Here are a few more photos! Paint is good but has surface rust spots, same as the chrome on wheels. Wheels are Rigida Supa Chromix 26 x 1 1/4", Sachs Huret Derailleur, Sella Italia Anatomic saddles ( different gender shapes front and rear ...!!!), Sakae Custom Road Champion aluminium handlebars, Millremo aluminium mudguards......none of which mean anything to a motor bike man but maybe to you??
Cheers
Tom

Tandems are tough to guage a price on.

Typically, cost twice as much when new but second hand hard to find a buyer, twice the bike but a half the price of if it was a standard bike.

I can't give you a spot on price but to the right person I would say around £200 in my second hand retail experience point of view.

Sadly eBay is the true decider.

Hi

I wouldnt get your hopes up

It is a very basic model and very unlikely to be anything other than plain gauge steel

Given the minimal braking and low level components maybe £50 to £80

Unfortunately there is nothing to suggest quality tubing or Tom Bromwich had a hand in it
