Titanium Cool Tool

I think they only made a few of these out of titanium. I bought this from the guy that invented them from his booth at the Sea Otter Classic I think I paid around $100 for it back in 96 or 97, it was a lot for a bike tool, but I thought it was cool, lol.

I still carry it in my seat bag.

The crescent wrench is the titanium part the other pieces are steel and it’s pretty light a a little over 2oz for the crescent wrench part, the total weight is 169.5g

in all the years I’ve had this I never noticed Robert Seals has a phone # on one side it’s usually wrapped in a shop rag, the number is a Sacramento area code, i Guess it was a cool tool business line, but things were different back then.

this thing has done a lot of trail repairs, many broken chains, taco’d wheels and a mangled derailleur.

Someplace I have a Merlin metal works titanium bottle opener I got as a gift, it’s made from a piece of bike chain stay tubing with the Merlin decal. When I find it I’ll post a picture.
