I've decided to rebuild my clockwork since I'm now a little bit more savy & since I have a few nicer parts looking for a home. As usual it'll be a slow process due to life & work etc.
Here's where it finished up last time
Made a start today cleaned up the replacement wheels & chucked some tyres on, also dug out a set of prestige handle bars I didn't know I had, they do however require a coat of paint  (I hate painting things!)

Re:

Slight change of plan on this. Long stall due to having to get the bb thread chased out. I really am quite attached to this frame but it's blooming well used, so I'm planning a well used Dx build. Not 100% period correct but a "how it could've turned out" if it'd not been forgotten about build. Ignore the previous post, those can go on something else.
Got started today, I'll pop some pics up soon!

Re:

A little progress although as always one step forward etc, next set of wheels re-greased cleaned & some runner tyres fitted but have a terrible feeling the rear is 130 oln not 135
BB fits like a glove! Mechs & crank on + stem, bars set up mocked up. Who doesn't like a bit of neon?! All a little used just like the frame. Forks & headset next, anyone got a used 1" Dx kicking about????

Re:

Thanks to Mat, I now have a Dx headset (I've touched it up a little) & cheers to Ed I now have wheels that'll fit :D
Got a horrible feeling I need to add a little more thread on the steerer but that's no biggy.
Got Monday off so hoping to get a couple of hours work done

NIce!
Made a little headway today, everything took me twice as long as it should do (as usual) chucked the wheels on as it takes up less space than being on the stand.
Still loads to do & bits I may change but finally getting somewhere :)

Looking nice and fresh Ox

Re:

Progress has been slow, I've bunged on a cateye mitty2. Fitted up a new chain today & had a shake down. It didn't go too well, shifting is really poor & may need to change the cassette, I'm also not really loving the flexstem but once the other issues are sorted it maybe okay. Nice to get back in the saddle on it though, I always feel comfortable riding this bike & despite all the issues it feels a 100 better now :)
