80cc engine and a rear V-brake...

I don't think it'll go too fast tho as looking at the angle of the forks you'd have fallen off the back long before...

I've spent 50 hours making it
Yeah I think the people at Suzuki etc have had a bit more practise..

Only 35mph max speed apparently. I expected more from that engine. Should be strong enough for some farmer's job instead of tractor.

I'm sure the Police would love to have a look at that as well.

Nutter

that.... actually looks quite cool... but I still don't get it - an engine on a downhill bike? wtf, man!?

Plus, I'd be more intrigued by the potential of burning the insides of my legs on the engine, than close up shots of the disc brake design - 'flaming skull and cross bones , sir?'... should've seen it coming really

Surely you could get more than 35mph downhill without switching the engine on...

the bottom one actually looks more sensible, using the normal drivetrain

i see quite a few on ebay, but for some reason nobody mentions they aint road legal.

in case anyone is interested, here is how to make them legal

but id be interested to know exactly what the police would do, not like they're gonna impound it, so just a warning/fine and dont do it again?

You see similar things all the time in China - they strap little petrol engines to loads of old shonky bikes, load 'em up infeasibly, then off they go.

Lots of bikes like that with rigs on for carrying those large water bottles that you see on office water coolers.
