175's are the most common
180's also for the slight longer taller leg rider
But 165's were used on some - smaller kids style
165 were used on a lot of early bmx's 70's and 80's as kids were smaller legged and it was easier for them to rotate the crank
Then 175 and 180's were used for the bigger kids and getting faster rotation
