Shouldn't do it on the Ti ones as well (e.g. on the Ti-Glides). Hope recommend the Alu caged on them as well, it's unfortunately why you see so many with dig-in dent on them.

Anything without an aluminium spider tends to chew into the soft free hub body quite badly. The SRAM PG980 (and above) have an alu spider.
Google it and you'll find it's a known feature/problem, just a combination best avoided
