Sintesi Bromont

Dave_H

Old School Grand Master
Bought the frame very cheap off ebay and it's a bit too scruffy to warrant an early '90s DH build with an extravagant spend on a load of NOS stuff ... plus I'd never ride it if I did that!

So instead the build is based around an imaginary story that it had been bought new (I always fancied one, couldn't afford it), had done a few years service as number one bike and then by the mid/late '90s had been downgraded to number two trail bike.

This is that no. 2 full suss play bike.

It is a fun bike indeed. Love the ride of mine :)

Maybe slowly upgrade to more period-, quality correct parts ?

That had been my original plan but the frame - there's a couple of biggish dings inside the swingarm in particular. If I spend a lot on it then I'll be precious over it - whereas where it is now I can just ride it into the ground and just enjoy it. The frame only cost £28 after all!

Do you have any guide for the rear shock pressure? It's a bit low for me at the moment and find air shocks a bit of a pain to set up. I'm guessing it's pretty high pressures?

Things in the swing arm ?

I think I have my shock at 12 bar.

Normally 68kg

12 bar is quite rigid. It smoothens out the big bumps effectively though.

A review in the Dutch mag tells me 9-12 is recommended. You find the review (and more covering) overhere
