I'm completely new to the Breezers, but I knew I wanted one sometime. Just picked this one up......for 65 pound. A Thunder. I think it's a '92.
The basis is good but it needs some attention and original parts.
To be continued.....I love it allready.

I have a similar Thunder awaiting my time to remove a stuck seatpost. Looking forward to getting it sorted and riding it!

This is mine, a 97 storm, i bought the bike for the frame and rebuilt it with XTR and FSA , very light bike, i raced it twice back in 98 and then sold it "God only knows why" but after a few years i managed to track the buyer down and buy it back, and the best part was he never rode it"EVER" and i gave him less than half what he gave me for it, anyway here it is, Oh and joey thanks for building such a bike.

What a fantastic thread, I highly recommend reading it from the beginning!

Unfortunately I never owned one, but I fondly remember dribbling over every ad, test and report about Breezers BITD. Hopefully it does not show on the scans

The first one is from the Dec 1991 article in MBAction "The 10 Greatest Mountain Bikes Of All Time" (number one was Schwinn Excelsior)

Headline is "The Signature Of the Master" and the copy text praises the bike as "liberated from trendy restraints", having "refined construction details" and "sophisticated frame geometry". The 1991 range further "opens the door to a new mountain bike generation - just like over ten years ago, when everything began"

Review in Schweizer Bike Magazin issue, Oct/Nov 1991

Lightning frame featuring 50´s look, Tange Logic main triangle, Prestige double butted rear for stiffness. Tester´s verdict: Very light bike, brake levers too square- edged (?), totally understated, agile yet steady steering, "Supervelo".

Caption on the pic: Joe Breeze´s change from aluminum to steel unsettles the alu - popes (say what?)
