Blimey you lot had some lovely bikes! Here's my modest collection.

1988ish Raleigh Mirage (sold it in 1990)

1991 Raleigh Dyna Tech Encounter (stolen)

1993 Saracen Kili Pro e-stay (still got)

1997ish Cannondale M500 (stolen)

1999 Handbuilt thingy (still got)

2000 Saracen X-Cell (still got, the wife's bike now!)

2001 Scott G-Zero FX1 (ex-Mbuk demo bike, sold with profit!)

2001 Coyote DH1 (still got)

2005 Giant XTC2 (still got)

1993 Raleigh DynaTech Encounter (purchased 2008,ebay)still got!)

1993 Saracen Kili Pro E-stay (purchased oct2009,ebay)

Mountainbikes since 1992:

1992 MBK cheap-o-crap something.

1993 Mikecycle, some cheap and very heavy elevated chainstay frame with rectangular downtube. Rode like a piece of s***, even back then... Had a complete Shimano XT group though.

1994 Independent (german brand) Spear, Easton tubed and quite light frame, with MAG21's and the XT groupset from my previous bike.

1996 Litespeed Obed with Judy SL and XT group.

1997 Massi, bought on vacation in Andorra, very nice Ritchey tubed frame. Parts moved from the Litespeed, but with Manitou SL Ti forks.

1997 Specialized Stumpjumper cromo. This is the frame I still own. Fantastic frame, great price back then. Rides so sweet, even by todays standards.

1998 Specialized FSR Elite, Dual crown Manitou, XTR and added Magura Louise disc in the front, HS33 rear.

1997 Rockhopper Comp steel framed bike for commuting duties.

1997 Rockhopper to replace stolen Rockhopper Comp.

1998 Specialized Stumpjumper cromo, in another color... :roll:

1999 Santa Cruz Chameleon, black with red Judy Race. Had this for several years. Great bike!

2001 Santa Cruz Bullit.

2003 Specialized P.1 dirtjumper

4 years without riding a bike....

2009 Lapierre Zesty 714 (current modern bike). One of - if not the - best bike I have ever ridden!


Road bikes:

1985 Vicini Colombus Cromor with Campy something.

Many many years without a road bike...

1996 Kildemoes (danish brand), with Ultegra 6500. Still have this as a commuter bike.

1997 Kinesis no-name frame with parts from the Kildemoes

1998 Schwinn Circuit Reynolds 853, built with DA/Ultegra mix, very light Hügi wheels and carbon forks. Superb bike. Wish I hadn't sold it.

1987 (found it 6 months ago) Vicini Columbus Cromor. Same as my first road bike, only 2 years younger. Currently rebuilding it with semi-modern parts. Later on I hope to do a proper resto.

Muddyfox Seeker Mega (the other retro ride in my sig)

From the list the Maverick and Rockhopper hold special memories and racked up a lot of miles between them. The Maverick reminds me of lazy days off school and long hot summers messing with my mates. The Rockhopper I used as my club ride and race bike and I had this bike when I met my wife, maybe I will re-create this bike if a 16" '90 or '91 frame comes up in Purple.

ok here's what i can remeber....

ive had few bmx's and a road bike in between :roll:

95 raliegh activator (started mtb'ing)
97 raliegh max (heavly upgraded)
98 GT backwoods (heavely upgraded)
2004 rockrider xc (few upgrades)
2004 saracen full sus (cant remeber model, upgraded)
2004 saracen xray (custom built freeride mtb)

and finally my 06 custom built GIANT boulder alu lite

Here goes.... some head scratching required mind!

1986 - Raleigh Mini Burner: What a belter of a bike. All I needed was 4 bricks and a length of plywood to perform massive jumps!

1988 - Raleigh mustang 20" wheel and 5 whole gears: My first MTB and I treated it like it was bomb proof. Many a tumble and fall was performed on this.

1990 - Raleigh Lizzard: Much like the Mustang but now with 10 gears (I think?) I fell from this bike almost every week. Eventually got stolen :cry:

1992 - Claud Butler, but not sure of model but it was all black with black rims. Was the envy of all the other paper lads but got nicked

1991 - Muddy Fox - not sure of model but picked it up at a local second hand shop for £20. total hack of a bike and BB dropped to bits after two weeks.

1995 - Marin Hawk Hill - proper MTB and even had SPD's. stripped it and rebuilt it wth full Deore LX but sold it to fund my second car :shock:

2002 - GT Agresor - S**t bike from Halfrauds. waste of money. Not a proper GT IMO

2005 - Marin Nail Trail - Still own this and its my main ride, but its only covered 500 miles since new!

1997 - Pace F6 - one of the bikes i always wanted BITD, now a garage queen

1995 - Orange P7 frame only - just collected and will be my first rebuild but will not be a garage queen.
