Awesome thread idea! Unfortunately, once I've spent a shedload of time and money on a resto it usually gets moved on for the next (un)fortunate victim :facepalm:

The 06 Cinder Cone was seriously rough when it came to me

Never made it to complete bike stage but finished up looking like this

Another in pretty bad cosmetic condition was a '98 GT Timberline

Cleaned up pretty good!

I guess my best resto job was on the little '98 Explosif though (currently with a fellow retrobiker ) Poor little thing had been seriously abused

Do you have any idea how hard it is to source Marin amberwalls? :roll:

Loving what you did with your bike Chris, I bet it rides fantastically. Nothing special about what I've done, just picked projects which I knew would work out well and I've never been afraid of patina
