Any chance you could post the Service Sheet for the FD651 that's on my 1992 Panasonic? That's front deraileur.

Use the FD-M901/M900 one and it's notes. They are the same design mech pretty much.

Actually, I already looked at that one and it does not have the flat tension adjusting screw I mentioned in the other thread.

That is why it is best to have the genuine Shimano Data sheets posted.

Anychance you can post the FD-M651 data sheet?

Cheers for the replys peeps.

Im a newbie here, but you'll find my handle elsewhere the net (galantvr4.org). I like fixing things and am a habitual womble when collecting useful techy information.

I've scanned all the service sheets I have in my possesion, so whats there is there. (So anyone reading this with a cupboard full, or even a couple in a drawer) if not in the archive then scan and post!, if you can't be bothered then if wanted, pm me and you can send them to scan and post up...

I have a box of catalogues too, but they are only useful to a point, and most are up already.

Just got a hold of this. FD-M735 M650 M550 M500 M400 M300: 1990/1991, covers all the common FD retro models, and nowhere to be found on shimano's site. Has M071/M091/M092 levers in it, and interestingly no tension adjust on the mech spring, so I guess that was '91 on right?

egg shaped? what adjuster are we looking at ?

For reference the 1991 catalogue was August 1990.

and as you said though I'm not sure what you're referring too, there was not M092 (ServoWave) version in 1990. I think I've missed something :)

Ok.. 1991.. But it doesn't figure it hasn't got the tension adjust in. That's confusing me. The egg vs. parallel is these adjusters. It looks like that I thought was 1990 only, applies to 1991 too. I was sure I'd seen the egg ones before that though.
