I've no doubt that's true Shaun. As I understand things, some shops/dealers had more of an influence than others. It's not what you know it's who you know. Still as true today.

Ok, out of curiosity I took a closer look at the serial number as it wasn't too clear. It looked almost like it had been disguised to some degree, certainly compared to the legibility of the '59.5' frame size stamp opposite.

I can see clearly now the paint has gone...

I believe so, there or thereabouts anyway. I was reading about Originalshinkicker's SB4059 which is noted as 1980 and that's only a few frames before mine.
