Also you'll find the 99 judy guides in this lot Total Mountain Bike (TMB) July 1999 http://www.retrobike.co.uk/forum/viewtopic.php?t=53227

Even though this says 5 or 8wt as extra light. I believe it was 5wt. Start from there if you're light or try 7.5wt if your heavy and jump to 10/15 if your very hard on your bike ;)

Hi Fluffy (Rob?)

Using the link you kindly detailed above I found the treasure trove of info thats elluded me on this site until today.
Drystone Pauls scanned copy of servicing Hydro Air Judys is spot on... in fact the whole archive thread is the Mutz Nutz I'm amazed I've not found it sooner.

regards to all

I weigh just under 200lbs, have two red springs in mine and I run 7.5wt. I tried 15wt and the rebound was far too slow, espeically in colder weather. Slow rebound tends to send you over the bars alot as I found out.

James

I'm new to such modern kit having only used MK1 judys before, but having read the "how to service Judy" scan it details the use of 5 -8 wt oil unless your a lot bigger built, thankfully I'm not so will take your advice and that of Total MTB Mag and run with 7.5wt

thanks once again to all

Be carefull that you put the correct amount of oil in the legs too. Too much will result in reduced travel.
