Riser bars - Timeline - when and who?

Club roosts are the ones I rememeber too, tbh didn't pay much attention at the time, well it was just a fad wasn't it :LOL:
 
must be about 1994, as i put a pair on my 94 lavadome, in 95, and everyone said why cow horns

I thought early MTB's had risers (well kinda the same)
 
Sorry to post the same as everyone else, but yeah, Club Roost. I had a blue set on my Zaskar way back in the early 90's. Just like blackwall tyres, Matt black bikes, rapidfire shifters and so on, riser bars are properly retro :)

I'm sure the early Stumpjumpers had Nitto risers as stock back in 81/82 - I have a Saracen from the mid-eighties that has a pair... so concur that it was straight bars that was the fad!

Yep, flatties were the fad. Klunkers had risers, my 86 Cannondale has risers too.
