But why to use this beautiful and old stem for a rise bar ?
If you really want a rise bar, take another stem.
If you really want the ATAC, take a answer taperlite

I need a riser bar
I need a 1-1/4" stem for my cannanodale

give me the solution

Can be done, simply thread the bolts in from the back against a coin to open the stem just enough to give you the extra space.

thats ameybrooks kona pictured above. PM him & ask. personally I wouldnt overstress alu stem clamps, steel would be different. answer made an atac DH stem which looks similiar at the back of the stem, but with a removeable faceplate for easy fitting of riser bars.. maybe thats your answer?

higher the stem to the same height as your risers rise, then find a bar the same width

Tips

4. Not oversize bars like those Deity's (doh).

...

There is the option for the standard one, but the one you pictured and the picture there is the oversized one

You'll either need to buy and hope, or just look for a stem (or shim system) that will the the job you want properly.

Plenty of 1-1/4" stems here may be thinner in the clamp http://www.sjscycles.co.uk/category-Ste ... ed-580.htm

Shim http://www.sjscycles.co.uk/product-Thor ... ks-444.htm
though you may have a similar problem with 1", so look for a 1-1/8 to 1-1/4" shim.

Ahead converter
http://www.sjscycles.co.uk/product-Unbr ... r-3063.htm
but find one for 1-1/4"
and buy a new style stem easier.

I guess you must use the riser just for look then ?

thanks! :)
i was looking for a "stem adapter" in 1 1/4" but i don't have found anything online IN THIS SIZE, infact i need a "shim" !!! and use (more easy to find ) a traditional 1.1/8 stem adapter

Yes, i prefer use riser bar both for look and for whellies (more simple for me)
