Restoration pictures

That looks just great, I have tries for years to get Mrs Maverick into riding (in more ways than one) but she has resisted, I have even taken to fitting a bloody basket to the front of her Viper Bomber that I built up with spares, but still she resists.
I will now be on the look out for something similar, I’m sue that something like this can be done for around £100-150.

Thanks for the inspiration.

I see a future new BOTM category here.

The routing isn't wrong as such, as you're confusing it with much older designs that used the pulley mechanism.

The routing is done as per factory assembly, and incorporates the Sturmey Archer chainstay fulcrum (see pic below).

I am looking at it on a tiny, tiny netbook, but I think you're confusing it with something more modern. Isn't that hub dated June 1967?

I rebuilt a Coventry Eagle of similar vintage last year for one of my neighbours. I'm reasonably sure it used a pulley.

Saying that, I have slept since then. ;)

Either way, it's better to be sure and fit one rather than to come off when it slips out of gear on a hill.
