Removing decals from carbon

Hi All
I’m lucky enough to have a pair of Hed cross country being built as we speak. I’ve got done fresh decals for them if I decide the original yellow ones don’t work for me.

Question is how do you remove the existing decals if I decide to?

I’m thinking Gentle peeling under a hairdryer and then remove any residue with wd40 or white spirits. Would that work or would that damage the carbon.

The fairing is carbon fibre not the thermoplastic.

I'd use hot water rather than hair dryer just to be on the safe side, and peel slowly.

I saw a thread on here that suggested mayonnaise was good at removing residue, don't think it was a joke but worth checking. Otherwise I'd go with what you've suggested.
