Thank you, it’s a bit like riding on a magic carpet, very comfortable, almost luxury. 37mm tyres help tremendously in addition to the frame itself.
I’m just going to keep adding on the miles and keep it mechanically reliable. It has been superb.
Ideally I’ll drop the bars a little further at the front if I can shed some more body mass.
For a heavy bike (and rider) it moves along at great pace. I’m trying to get my moving average to 30km/h this year.
Pushing this up hills is great exercise. This frame has had a hard life, lots of nicks and marks on the paint. I don’t think I’ll be refinishing it or anything.
Maybe some credit card touring this summer.
I’ve got a nearly identical Nigel Dean world tour, also 531ST, waiting in the wings. The Nigel Dean is in much better condition, much more presentable.
