The time has come to bid farewell to my beloved Kona Kilauea, owned from new. My racing days are now well behind me and its time to admit that a more upright bike is better suited to my family bike rides.

As you can see from the photos this bike has been considerably tricked out an customised over the years - full details below. Its worth noting that she needs a new rear brake fitting as my Magura hydraulic rim breaks sprung a leak and have been disposed of.

• 16 inch frame (serial number starting F204)

• Flite titanium saddle (although very well worn)

• Red anodised aluminium seat post (can find the brand I'm afraid)

• Original Velocity stem

• Fred Salmon blue annodised handle bar

• Legendary original Deore DX thumb shifters

• Deore LX brake levers

• Tioga Cartridge headset

• Original Joe Murray rigid forks (stickers have flaked off over the years)

• Hope Titanium anodised red bottom bracket

• Most nuts and bolts have been replaced with anodised aluminium or titanium

• Deore XT hubs on Maverick X517 rims with Panaracer Fire XC Pro 1.8 tyres both back and front

• Deore XT rear gear shifter

• Original Deore DX front gear shifter

• Original Shimano C-46 front sprockets

• Original Shimano Hyperglide 7 gear block

• Shimano PD M-525 pedals

The money raised from selling this bike will be donated to The Trevor Collins Foundation (trevorcollinsfoundation.org.uk) to help raise money for essential research in bowel cancer. Ideally payment will be made by cheque payable to "The Trevor Collins Foundation".
