I think he bought the frame from new but not sure what its colour was originally

Road king had it refinished in yellow IIRC, I was so tempted to buy it and do it in SBDU livery but the chrome on the forks made me think twice.

Having said that at the price it was an absolute bargain

I thought it was a bargain too, I shall get the forks resprayed in matching yellow.
