Here we go then, ebay Wisp in worse condition than anticipated (obviously). A load of bits on the scrap heap - some keepers though and new parts arrived today - wheels tomorrow. Have decided to build up as a relaxed single speed for my mrs to have. Particularly like the Dia Compes and unorthodox pairing with the cork n rubber grips. Powder coating next - then to the LBS to borrow their headset tools - am really hoping the fork crown race bit doesn't need to be "re - faced" or whatever the term is.
Chain line is going to be interesting - hoping to use existing BB as its still got some life in it yet - maybe spacers on the freewheel if not a new BB will be needed - anticipated build cost has spiraled - what another £20 eh!?
