For an extreme example there are many on here (least I hope I am not the only one) who could put all the £75 on a carefuly selected ebay frame, then build the rest up with bling thats sat in the cupboard and claim it only cost you £75 to do...ignoring the fact you previously spent £100 on a ti CK headset that you ended up swapping for a brake cable set.

i understand what your saying, most of the bits i traded though have been from donated bikes or bikes that i bought off ebay and parted out, so have paid for themselves already. the £75 budget was what i had for the build and i wanted to see how far i could get on it.
plus a few people got a few bits they needed but couldn't pay for so everybody is happy.
oh and where are these £100 ck ti headsets?
