Problems fitting Maguras, or not?

The Manitou Mars CL are good forks and light too unfortunately the brace is massive and the brake mounts are just glued on with no additional bracing to prevent them from twisting away under heavy braking. They should have had a disclaimer to use them only with a brake booster. (then they're ok)

Again, massive thanks guys. I've just fitted the front brake (with a lot of swearing) and using the rear brace and 2 D shaped washers there is no contact with the fork brace. They feel super solid and stop exactly as a Magura should. I'll update the thread with some pics to show how I've fitted them. It's fair to say it wasn't easy, but at least I don't have to change them anymore!

Nice! Good luck if you ever want to change the wheel or get it out tho..

Magura's 'QR' mechanism does diddly-squat in most cases.. Got 4 bikes set up with them & find it quicker just to let the tyre down to get the wheels out..(aside from the 1 Magura fork with Firm-Tech mounts) I'd recommend investing in a track pump! ;)
