How do you know its a holdsworth frame. Poyner bought frames from a number of sources and all frames were supplied with poyner graphics. They did have one framebuilder however but the bulk of them were bought in

Not saying its not just to be aware that poyner made very few frames. I had a poyner track bike that turned out to be a raleigh with perfect chrome under the paint. A real beauty.you can check by checking the frame number. The thing that started me searching with the raleigh was the three head tube rivet holes. There are very few badges that use three rivets. Some research on the frame number gave me the year of manufacture and the factory it was made in.Had I not done that the chrome would have been shot blasted at repaint and I would have lost a beautifull track iron. I was also told that Bob Jackson made some frames for them so they handled quality bikes.I got a lot of fun out of researching that releigh

I’ve taken a photo of the serial number under the BB and will get Googling now!

Not too sure! I have added some photos with 20c tyres fitted to give an idea of clearances. It’s tightest at the chain stays.
