I'm using a 1" quill to 1 1/8" aheadset adaptor to fit a modern stem to an old frame.
I'm undecided on what stem angle to purchase. On my newer road bikes, a -10° stem looks about right with a sloping top tube frame, i.e. they're about parallel.
But for an old frame with horizontal top tube I don't want an upward sloping stem, so I'd need a -17° stem if I wanted it parallel with the top tube.
Please can someone post some photos showing the latter setup, as I'd like to check it looks OK. Any opinions/advice will be much appreciated.
