Orange racer ?

Hi guys ,
I’ve joined here to try and get some info on this bike I’ve picked up , I bought this from an old gent who had a lovely collection of orange mountain bikes , he bought this one from a guy alongside a lovely p7 as he had to buy both to get the p7 , I had asked on the retro orange page and got some good opinions and suggestions but would like a bit more info on exact model and value ,
It appears it’s not a Dynamo as it’s oval tubed , one guy on the forum has one he thinks is the same that he got from an orange road bike team racer .

what's the serial on it, it'll probably give a start date to narrow down the era.

The frame number is AF9901075

The serial number doesn't seem to match with the older Orange serials I don't think?

Here's a thread featuring an Orange D2. ..

I think it may be a generic aero aluminium frame stickered up as an Orange.

That's the thing with retro bikes, some things forever remain a mystery.
But hopefully someone comes along who can perhaps narrow it down a bit.
Have you contacted Orange themselves?
