7speed cassette, DX thumbies, XTR m950 rear mech, XT m739 V's... hmm this build is getting more confused... ditch the thumbies and go for 8 speed XT m739 sti units. The stem looks better but still to long, especially if your girlfriend is gonna be riding it!

No its getting less confused. I have a control tech stem on its way and XT 735 front and rear going on with the XTR coming off. Also my girlfriend is nigh on 6 ft so reach isnt an issue. Thumbies will definately look better though.

Hey, what did you do with your original steel fork ?

Well its going to be ridden on the south downs so the steel f7 forks have ben put to one side for when i want to make it look all pretty again. I ride my bikes hard so you will never fine me or my girly rigid. I know it doesnt look as good but its all about the ride, looks are nice though.
