Ok,

So I'm not riding but it is classic neon from '89.

Don't laugh too hard, we were all young and foolish once...

wow!!! that might actually be the worst colour scheme I have ever seen!!

But somehow it seems strangely fitting and almost alluring. Weird.

Nick,

managed to tick all the retro boxes there - right down to the sub six and inverted thumbies (was that ever a good idea ?!?)

Rody,

far out colour scheme. What was the bike under the paint? Was that a stock paintay job?

Rutteger,

The bike is a 89 Grove Innovations Hardcore, believe it or not this was a stock color.

The bike came with Hardcore straight blade fork, Hammerhead one piece bar/stem combo, water bottle cages, and shoulder strap, all painted to match.

Steep east coast geometry, 73.5 seat tube, 73 head tube, 23.5 top tube, and 13.5" bottem bracket to get over really big logs.

This bike soon saw first generation Mountain Cycle Suspenders with integrated disc brake/hub and all told, weighed a whopping 35 pounds

This ride falls into the "wish I hadn't sold it" category, as I sold it to fund my first frame project.

cheers,

rody

I have the same jersey , and I still use it in the summer . I get weird looks
