Hi,

Made some progress at the weekend - would've got it finished but got commandeered by my wife for other jobs.

Everything went on well apart from the seat tube needing a good clean out of 'media' from the stripping but got there in the end.

Need to get cables and rear wheel dishing sorted (sitting offset).

Waiting on some nuts, bolts, new roller and single ring bolts for the chainset (hadn't thought about that....) then it will be sorted.

Also fitted a slightly shorter stem (60mm rather than the 80mm one in the photo) - though I reckon I should have gone for silver items rather than the black (in the mock up photos I used a red and stem but they, as suspected, didn't look very good with the blue and orange).

I got this completed last weekend and will get some better photos taken but been a bit busy with work.

Now the only question is what colour decals? White, orange or other?

Kind a leaning with the orange.

Reckon it needs silver pedals too but that's for later.

That is looking pretty cool - love the colour combo with the teal/orange Had a couple of Sidekicks myself in the past and after a bit of a dalliance with an older GT I now find myself fancying another DJ build. Off to ebay . . .

Those photos make me want to dig out my orange bombers for my kona
