Tel, I'm sure if you have the tools to do it, then you could modify modern wheels like the ones in the pics. Take as much as you can off the driveside first though, to minimize the amount of redishing needed. And careful when redishing - modern low spoke count wheels might not be as tolerant of that as older traditional style wheels.
